After a getting out to a quick 10-0 lead the Chiefs would go on to score 28 unanswered second quarter points. That was all the Chiefs would need as they went on to dominant the Raiders for the win.
Trailing 28-10 at halftime, the Raiders offense had opportunities to get back into the game in the second but back to back drives were stalled out by Derek Carr interceptions. The first of his two interceptions came on the Raiders first possession of the second half.
After forcing a Chiefs punt the Raiders took over on their own 14 yard line. Josh Jacobs took the first play 51 yards to the Chiefs 30 yard line. Following two Darren Waller catches for 17 yards and some more Josh Jacobs, the offense had an opportunity to cut the lead to 28-17 with a first and goal from the four.
Unfortunately for the Raiders, Derek Carr’s pass attempt to Tyrell Williams on a fade route was picked off ending any hope the Raiders had of making a comeback. The interception was this week’s turning point play of the game.

In Carr’s defense it looked as if there was a miscommunication between he and Williams. The Chiefs safety crept up signaling a blitz and Carr changed the play at the line to a fade route with Williams one on one with Breeland. Williams didn’t seem to get the change and had no idea the ball was coming his way.
It was the last best chance the Raiders had to score and the Chiefs cruised to the win without needing to put any more points on the board to win 28-10.
