Judge schedules depositions for Roger Goodell, referees over Saints no-call

A New Orleans judge is going ahead with a Saints fan’s lawsuit against the NFL over the missed call in the NFC Championship game and is even scheduling testimony under oath. According to NOLA.com, Orleans Parish Civil District Court Judge Nicole Sheppard said Monday that the NFL commissioner and the three referees who worked the game should testify under oath about the game and scheduled depositions for September in New Orleans. Saints fan Tony LeMon filed the suit against the NFL so it would remain in state court, which appears content to go ahead with it. Analysts still believe the suit is likely to fail, and the NFL continues to explore an appeal to get the suit dismissed. This all stems from the infamous missed pass interference call late in the NFC Championship that likely would have sent the New Orleans Saints to the Super Bowl had it been made correctly.
