Rams-Falcons initial injury report

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Jacksonville Jaguars Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Todd is back at practice and Jalen is back to having a back!

The Los Angeles Rams (3-3) are...going to look a lot different in Week 7 than they had anticipated.

Since Monday they’ve lost CB Aqib Talib, OG Joseph Noteboom, and S John Johnson III to injured reserve. They traded CB Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens.

And as a result, they’ll be seeing new faces — of both internal and external players.

Rookie David Edwards will start at left guard in Noteboom’s absence this Sunday. S Marqui Christian will be stepping in for Johnson. CB Troy Hill will once again get the start in for Talib.

And it’s entirely possible that we see new Rams CB Jalen Ramsey suit up this Sunday! Maybe...

Here’s the Rams’ injury report for Wednesday:

Matthews, we know, is said to be out 4-6 weeks with his broken jaw. That clock started following his injury in in Week 5. Gurley looks to be on the right track, and Head Coach Sean McVay sounded pretty optimistic about his return in his Wednesday press conference. RB Malcolm Brown is said to be “day-to-day,” so that’s something to monitor as the week progresses. If, for some reason, he’s not able to go expect more Darrell Henderson Jr. this weekend.

As for Ramsey, he arrived in Los Angeles today so there was little to be expected. However, he was “suffering” with some “pretty serious back issues” over the past few weeks. I’m guessing he’s “recovered” from that injury and is ready to roll this weekend. The question, however, is if the Rams can have him prepared in such a short amount of time. Rams GM Les Snead and McVay were both pretty noncommittal about his status for this Sunday in their pressers earlier today.

As for the Atlanta Falcons, here is their initial injury report:

WR Julio Jones was limited. No big deal.

But offensive guard Jamon Brown was a full participant. That spells trouble for the Los Angeles Ra....I can’t do it. I can’t finish that sentence.
