We knew K Greg Zuerlein will be out for a bit, but the other three will need to be monitored over the week.
We knew that Los Angeles Rams K Greg Zuerlein was going to be on today’s initial injury report. After missing out on the beatdown of the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 because of a pregame groin injury, Head Coach Sean McVay confirmed today it will be a couple of weeks and that an MRI today doesn’t necessarily clarify how many. It will be down to “responds over the course of time”
We knew that ILB Mark Barron was going to be on the report. He didn’t practice all week though his Week 2 game status was upgraded from OUT to DOUBTFUL.
But a couple of other names popped up that weren’t anticipated:
Forget LT Andrew Whitworth. He, C John Sullivan and former OLB Connor Barwin all used to get the first practice off last year.
No, the issues on this one are Sullivan and DL Michael Brockers. No real word on the severity of things, so we’ll have to see how things progress over the course of the week. If they remain absent, we’ll get some comment from McVay on how they’re going to prepare without either one or both.
As for the Los Angeles Chargers, the Rams’ opponent in Week 3, they’ve got serious issues of their own:
We know that DE Joey Bosa will miss the game because of his foot injury. RT Joe Barksdale will reportedly also miss. As for the other two who did not practice, FB Derek Watt and TE Antonio Gates, we’ll have to see.
