7 Players to Consider in FanDuel Cash Games Week 6

Fanduel Cash Game Tips

Each week I sit here getting ready to tell you the players that I like for the week. Each week I think about how much football there is left in the season. This week, unlike the first 5, I started to think about the end of the season. After 5 weeks, we are really starting to see what this season is going to look like. We are able to tell who the surprise teams are, which matchups we want to exploit in DFS, and what new players have emerged to become impact players. I am looking forward to what the rest of the season is going to bring and hopefully, it brings cash to all of us.

Week 6 is a little different than the first 5 weeks. We are missing a lot of the top offensive weapons on the main slate this week. The Saints and Lions are on a bye so none of the big-time names from those teams are available. With the Eagles, Giants, Chiefs, Patriots, and Packers all playing either Thursday, Sunday night, or Monday, a lot of the top talent in the NFL is unavailable this week. With that being said, there are some good value plays this week.

Here are my 7 players to consider in FanDuel cash games for week 6.

Recommended DFS Tools:

  • Daily Roto – Daily Roto has Redzone data, snap counts, targets, and an awesome Lineup optimizer
  • The Quant Edge – TQE has a WR/CB matchup tool that’ll be perfect for WR Start/Sits.
  • MyBookie –  Sports betting lines like over/under are very underrated in daily fantasy sports

Quarterback

Jameis Winston
$7,400 at Falcons

Jameis WinstonI have been on the Jameis Winston bandwagon since the preseason and now I finally get my chance to write him up here. His name being here isn’t just because of my love for him this season, there are several reasons to utilize him this week. The first being that according to MyBookie, the Bucs/Falcons matchup has one of the highest over/under of the week at 57.5. The Buccaneers have averaged 375.25 passing yards and 3 touchdowns per game this season. They now take on a Falcons defense allowing the 4th most points to quarterbacks. The Falcons have allowed 329.5 passing yards and 3 touchdowns per game over the last 4 games. These things, along with the Bucs inability to run the football, and Winston is primed for a monster game.

Matt Ryan
$8,300 vs Buccaneers

I like Matt Ryan again this week for many of the same reasons I like Winston. The over/under being high is a start. The Bucs also allow the most points to quarterbacks. Ryan has averaged 337.5 passing yards per game over the last 4 games. With the Falcons defense struggling, their offense will be forced to keep this game close. Ryan has had a rebound season so far in 2018 and I fully expect that to continue against a Bucs defense that can not stop the pass (370 yards/game).

Runningback

Todd Gurley
$9,500 at Broncos

The Broncos have surrenders 465 rushing yards over the last 2 games. Todd Gurley is the best running back in football. These two things combined mean Gurley, although expensive, may be the best play in the main slate this week. Gurley has scored at least 1 touchdown in every game this season and has 9 total scores on the season. He has over 100 total yards in 4 of 5 games this year and also has two games this season with 3 touchdowns. The best part about Gurley is he leads all players in redzone opportunities. He has 40 on the season (32 carries and 8 targets). That is good for 51.28% of the teams redzone chances. Combine all of this and the fact that the Broncos allow the 8th most points to running backs, and Gurley is in line for another big week.

Tarik Cohen
$5,900 at Dolphins

If you are in need of a cheap option at the running back position, Tarik Cohen may be as good of an option as any. Jordan Howard has struggled so far in 2018 and week 4 saw Cohen get an expanded role. Cohen excelled, totaling 174 yards and a touchdown. After this type of performance, Matt Nagy will have a tough time not giving the ball to Cohen in week 6. As for the Dolphins, they have allowed the 6th most points to running backs. If Cohen can come close to the 20 touches he saw in week 4, he should outproduce his price tag with no trouble.

Wide Receiver

Tyler Boyd
$6,300 vs Steelers

The easy options here are going with a Bucs or Falcons receiver to pair with the quarterbacks I selected. I am going to stray from those options to give you a few others that could bring you some success on Sunday. Tyler Boyd is the first option. He has been dominant this season and has run the majority of his snaps from the slot (69.9%). Boyd will matchup mostly against Mike Hilton. According to The Quant Edge’s WR/CB matchup, Hilton is allowing a QB rating of 91.9 when targeted. The Bengals offense has been resurgent in 2018 and they will have to pass the football to keep pace with the Steelers offense.

Tyler Lockett
$6,600 at Raiders

Tyler Lockett has filled in for Doug Baldwin very nicely as Baldwin has recovered from his injuries. Lockett has scored a touchdown in all but 1 game so far this season and has been a very reliable target for Russell Wilson. He has seen the majority of his snaps from the slot which is providing him with exploitable matchups and it is paying off for fantasy owners. Lockett now sets his sights on a Raiders defense that is allowing the 7th most points to receivers this season. With Baldwin’s return to the lineup, it should mean better matchups for Lockett as teams focus more on Baldwin defensively. Lockett is in a position to produce solid week 6 numbers.

Tight End

Austin Hooper
$5,600 vs Buccaneers

The Falcons utilized Hooper in week 5 due to the matchup against the Steelers. I expect them to do the same in week 6. The Bucs are the worst team at stopping tight ends this season. With few other options at the position this week during the main slate, it is a good time to look for potential return and Hooper brings the potential to the table. In a game expected to be high scoring, Hooper provides value that very few at the position do this week.

Good luck in week 6 and beyond! Leave some comments on players you like for cash games in week 6 or let me know what you think of my plays.
