Injury report: Jones and Veldheer continue to miss practice

Here is your Thursday injury report for the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams.

The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams released their second injury report of the week today and did receive some good news. However, to key veterans for the Broncos sat our their second straight practice.

First, the good news. Safety Darian Stewert who sat out Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury returned to practice today and was limited. After practice, Head Coach Vance Joseph was asked about Stew’s injury and he said that “he’s fine” which is good news for the Broncos defense.

Now the bad news. Veteran Adam Jones remained sidelined with a thigh/hamstring injury and Head Coach Vance Joseph said that he was “progressing slowly”.

“Adam Jones is coming [along] slowly. It’s his second stint with the hamstring. Obviously, hamstrings take a while. If you push this guy back, we could lose him for the rest of the season. We’re going to be smart with him and we’ll see how the week goes. So far, we’re going slow with him—just long-term concerns.”

Also, tackle Jared Veldheer remained sidelined and is trending the wrong way for Sunday’s game. Both Veldheer and Jones would likely have to practice on Friday to have a good shot at playing on Sunday vs. the Rams.

As for the Rams, they received some good news. Both receivers, Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks who are in the concussion protocol put in a limited practice today. This bodes well for both receiver to take the field this Sunday for the Rams offense.
