The Jacksonville Jaguars are all but expected to sign a free agent quarterback this free agency period. The question remains — would you rather it be Nick Foles or Teddy Bridgewater?
The case for Foles
Foles is the best quarterback in a thin free agency class. He’d be an upgrade over Blake Bortles and whoever else they could sign right now. It would help to have someone who could come in right away and provide stability to the quarterback position with a shorter learning curve than a rookie, no matter how good he may be.
The case for Bridgewater
There is no good option for the Jaguars in the free agent market and therefore they should bring in a veteran quarterback who can be a bridge and nothing more. Don’t invest more in the quarterback position than you have to and sign a guy like Bridgewater who can buy you however long you need before a rookie quarterback is ready.
