Here are the teams you should be rooting for ... and against.

The second Sunday of the 2019 NFL season has arrived! Here’s a look at which teams Philadelphia Eagles fans should be rooting for during Week 2 football games.

EAGLES GAME

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES AT ATLANTA FALCONS: As an Eagles fan, you should root for the Eagles to get to 2-0. Just my opinion. Root for the Eagles.

NFC EAST

DALLAS COWBOYS AT WASHINGTON REDSKINS: It’s obvious that the Cowboys are the biggest threat to the Eagles in the division. It’d be great to see them lose but unfortunately there’s a 0% chance of that happening on Sunday. Root against the Cowboys.

BUFFALO BILLS AT NEW YORK GIANTS: No brainer to root for the AFC team that’s trying to beat an Eagles division rival. Root for the Bills.

NFC TEAMS

ARIZONA CARDINALS AT BALTIMORE RAVENS: The Cards don’t figure to be a major threat in the NFC but it’s better for the Eagle if they lose anyway. Root for the Ravens.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT PITTSBURGH STEELERS: The Seahawks could be competing for a playoff spot in the NFC so it’s better for the Eagles if they lose to an AFC team. Root for the Steelers.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS AT CINCINNATI BENGALS: Yet another case where it’s a no brainer to root for the AFC team to beat the NFC Team. Root for the Bengals.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS AT DETROIT LIONS: Notice the theme here? Go AFC, boo NFC. Could be nice for the Lions — the Eagles’ Week 3 opponent — to just look like a bad team. Root for the Chargers.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT GREEN BAY PACKERS: I’d argue the Packers are a bigger threat to the Eagles than the Vikings are: Aaron Rodgers > Kirk Cousins. Along those lines, I think it’ll be harder for the Eagles to win at Lambeau on Thursday Night Football in Week 4 than it will to beat Minnesota on the road in Week 6. Root against the Packers.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS AT LOS ANGELES RAMS: The Saints have been a tougher matchup for the Eagles than the Rams have been. The combination of Sean Payton and Drew Brees is more threatening than the duo of Sean McVay and Jared Goff. Root against the Saints.

CHICAGO BEARS AT DENVER BRONCOS: Mitchell Trubisky is bad but that Chicago defense might be good enough to keep the Bears in the playoff hunt. Might as well root for the AFC team to beat the NFC team here. Root for the Broncos.

DRAFT PICK WATCH

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AT MIAMI DOLPHINS: The Eagles acquired the Patriots’ fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft from the Michael Bennett trade. Might as well root for it to be as high as it possibly can be. It feel especially futile to root against the Pats in a game where they’re 19-point road favorites but do it anyway. Root for the Dolphins.

WHAT’S LEFT

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS AT TENNESSEE TITANS: Might as well cheer on Frank Reich. Root for the Colts.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS AT HOUSTON TEXANS: Nick Foles is hurt but you can root for the Jags to have a good record so they’ll have a shot at the playoffs if/when he returns around Week 11. Root for the Jaguars.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS AT OAKLAND RAIDERS: Cheering for Andy Reid to prevent the Pats from getting the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Root for the Chiefs.

CLEVELAND BROWNS AT NEW YORK JETS: Best wishes to Joe Douglas and all but with the Eagles playing the Jets in Week 5 it wouldn’t be so bad to watch them struggle. Root for the Browns.
