It’s time to get things underway. Join us here as we follow along with the first half.
It’s finally here!
The entire NFL has eagerly awaited the Green Bay Packers’ matchup with the Chicago Bears tonight, which will open up the regular season schedule for the league’s 100th season. This will be the 199th meeting between the franchises in their history, coming with the Packers holding a slim two-game lead in the all-time series.
Tonight’s game will feature the unveiling of the Packers’ new-look offense, led by head coach Matt LaFleur and run by veteran and two-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The relationship between the two men has been a constant source of speculation this offseason, but a fast start from the Packers could help put any questions to bed right away.
Meanwhile, the Packers added a tremendous amount of talent to their defense, a unit that started strong but fell apart late in 2018. That collapse was due in large part to a multitude of injuries, but coordinator Mike Pettine returns to try to sustain some greater success throughout the season.
See how it all unfolds this evening as the Packers take the field against their oldest rival in a celebration of football — and hopefully a Packers victory.
