The Panthers face the Bucs
The Carolina Panthers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC South matchup where the loser is 0-2, and a game down in the division. Tampa Bay is a touchdown underdog in tonight’s game. It’s tough to anticipate the Panthers losing. They hung in there with the Rams last week, and ended up making too many mistakes to overcome the deficit. Speaking of mistakes, Jameis Winston.
We’ve talked about Jimmy Garoppolo’s game Sunday, but what do you think Bucs’ fans are saying about Winston? Bruce Arians said that on Richard Sherman’s interception, the running back ran the wrong route. Arians absolved Winston of two of the interceptions he threw Sunday.
“The turnovers, after looking at the film, the biggest problem with the touchdown for the interception was Peyton was three yards too deep on his route. Last night, I thought he was fine. But he was too deep. That ball was thrown perfectly.’’
Arians did acknowledge that Winston should have thrown the ball away on the screen. How many interceptions will he throw tonight?
