This week’s Cowboys opponent is a bit beat up.
Life is good for the Dallas Cowboys. They are 1-0 and have two not-so-intimidating games staring at them over the next two weeks. The opportunity to get to 3-0 is certainly one people want to see taken.
Dallas will be on the road in Washington in Week 2 and they’ll be taking on a team that blew a 17-0 lead to the Philadelphia Eagles (argh). Washington is a struggling franchise and their own head coach is upset about his running back situation, but he’s probably more sad considering that they’ll likely be down two major players this week. Things don’t look so promising for either Jonathan Allen or Derrius Guice to play.
#Redskins DT Jonathan Allen, one of their core interior players, is believed to have suffered an MCL sprain yesterday, source said. He’ll have an MRI today, but is considered week-to-week and will miss some time.

Sources: #Redskins RB Derrius Guice had an MRI this morning on the other, non-ACL knee and he’s likely to miss some time. The hope is he does not need surgery, but the team is doing a full evaluation. He gained 18 yards on 10 carries, looking like he wasn’t himself.

Things already felt promising for the Cowboys this Sunday, but football is a tricky game. Just when you think someone has all the reason in the world to win the game laughs in your face and flips everything upside down.
While there are no guarantees it certainly bodes well for the Cowboys that Washington will likely be without these players. They’re a team that is struggling and now they’re down two starting players.
