- Antonio Callaway moving back to the X receiver spot (Browns Wire) - It turns out That Antonio Callaway’s struggles against San Francisco might have been a result of playing in an unfamiliar role. The wideout told reporters after Friday’s practice that he’s moving back to the same receiving role he played as a rookie going forward.
- Browns offensive line has reversed its strengths and weaknesses from last season (cleveland.com) - The 2009 season wasn’t anything extraordinary for the Browns. They finished 5-11. They had a first-year coach for the fourth time in 10 years. They had multiple quarterbacks start multiple games. Same old stuff. Except for one thing.
- Browns sign QB Eric Dungey to practice squad (clevelandbrowns.com) - The Cleveland Browns have signed QB Eric Dungey to the practice squad. To make room on the roster, the team placed WR Derrick Willies (knee) on its practice squad/injured list.
- Freddie Kitchens doesn’t want Pete Carroll’s sympathy (ohio.com) - Pete Carroll, 68, was 28 when he saw magic come out of perhaps the most famous coaching change in college football history. Now, as the 10th-year head coach in Seattle, he feels for the first-year pilot his Seahawks will face Sunday in Cleveland. But Freddie Kitchens doesn’t want Carroll’s sympathy. He wants to beat Carroll’s Seahawks.

- Former Browns captain Jamar Taylor hoping for happy homecoming with new Seahawks teammates (The Seattle Times) - The numbers say Seahawks nickel cornerback Jamar Taylor played pretty well last week in his most significant action in his first season in Seattle. His coaches say he did, too.
- Ravens’ Earl Thomas fined $21K for hit that knocked out Mason Rudolph (ESPN) - Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas II told ESPN that he was fined $21,000 by the NFL for his hit on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. Thomas said he plans to appeal the fine.
- Broncos ink Andy Janovich to 3-year, $5.7M extension (NFL.com) - Fullback Andy Janovich will be leading the way for Broncos tailbacks through the 2022 season. Janovich and Denver agreed on a three-year extension worth $5.7 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Friday. Rapoport added the deal is for an average of $1.9 per season with a signing bonus of $1.35 million and total guarantees of $3.22 million for the third-highest paid fullback in the NFL. The team announced the signing.
