Top 10 college football prospects to watch in Week 7

Can you believe we’re almost halfway through the college football regular season? Time flies! Week seven is filled with exciting games and players across the country will he put to the rest. Here are a few I’m most excited about.

• Thomas Graham Jr., Cornerback, Oregon v. Colorado (Friday, 10 PM on FS1): Oregon has played very solid defense all year and Thomas Graham Jr. has been a steady player in their secondary. The Ducks will face a Colorado passing game that has a handful of pass catching playmakers. Graham will be crucial in slowing down the Buffs’ passing game and helping Oregon avoid an upset.
• JR Reed , Safety, Georgia v. South Carolina (Saturday, 12 PM on ESPN): South Carolina night not be ranked, but they’re still dangerous. The Gamecocks have explosive potential in their passing game and a young quarterback willing to sling the ball. That same quarterback is also a bit mistake prone so JR Reed will he ball hawking all day. Reed could have another huge game against formidable opponents.
• CeeDee Lamb, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma v. Texas (Saturday, 12 PM on Fox): CeeDee Lamb has been averaging a bit over 24 yards a catch this year. Lamb is a speedster who has been vital to Oklahoma’s offensive potency. The Red River Rivalry is bound to be a serious shootout, so Lamb has a great opportunity to put on a clinic.
• Quincy Roche, Edge Defender, Temple v. Memphis (Saturday, 12 PM on ESPN2): Quincy Roche has been dangerous off the edge this year for the Owls. He will need a big game on Saturday rushing the passer to set up a possible upset against a talented Memphis team.
• Myles Jones, Cornerback, Texas A&M v. Alabama (Saturday, 3:30 PM on CBS): Alabama has a cornucopia or playmakers on their offense, particularly in the passing game. The Tide has put up points at will this year and has made it rain on every defense they’ve faced. Myles Jones is a leader in the Texas A&M defensive backfield and an intriguing prospect to boot. The 6’4” cornerback has outstanding size and plays fast on the field. He has a huge test against Alabama, but a great chance to make a name for himself.
• Marvin Wilson, Defensive Tackle, FSU v. Clemson (Saturday, 3:30 PM on ABC): Marvin Wilson has been outstanding this season as an every down interior defender. FSU is not a great team but they could put up some decent fight against Clemson with Wilson lining up for them. The Clemson offense, while talented, is certainly assailable. Trevor Lawrence has played below his station this season and Wilson getting him off rhythm all game could help FSU stay in the game.
• Kenny Willekes, Edge Defender, MSU v. Wisconsin (Saturday, 3:30 PM, Unlisted Game): Wisconsin has steamrolled every team that they’ve faced this season. Their running game is deadly to say the least and their offensive line is playing at a special level. Kenny Willekes and the Spartans are kicking their wounds after a bad loss to Ohio State this week. They will likely be looking to regroup this week and Willekes play will be huge to slow Jonathan Taylor and the gang.
• Michael Pittman Jr., Wide Receiver, USC v. Notre Dame (Saturday, 7:30 PM on NBC): Michael Pittman Jr. has been outstanding for USC this season despite a handful of offensive deficiencies around him. Pittman will be targeted early and often against Notre Dame. His play will be integral to USC pulling out a win.
• Yegur Gross-Matos, Edge Defender, Penn State v. Iowa (Saturday, 7:30 PM on ABC): Iowa has a pair of NFL caliber offensive tackles and they will try to wield their offensive light against the Penn State defense. Yegur Gross-Matos leads the PSU defense and he will need a a stellar performance to keep Penn State undefeated.
• Freddie Swain, Wide Receiver, Florida v. LSU (Saturday, 8 PM on ESPN): Another jewel among this Saturday’s crown of incredible games, all eyes will be on this top ten match up. Florida won big against Auburn last week and they are facing down one of the best teams LSU has fielded in the last decade. This LSU team, for the first time in a long time, can put up loads of points. Florida will need to be tough on defense but also will likely need to keep up on offense. Freddie Swain had a massive game last week and will need to have a strong follow up against LSU’s talented secondary. The speedy senior could be a hero for the Gators as they try to contend for a title.
