Role is still to be determined, but Kitchens has ties to new Giants head coach Joe Judge
New York Giants head coach Joe Judge is reportedly adding former Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens to his coaching staff.
The move was first reported by Matt Zenitz of alabama.com:

Unclear what his role will be.
Kitchens would become the second former head coach to join Judge’s staff. Late last week, Judge hired former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett as his offensive coordinator.
While it is not known what role Kitchens will fill with the Giants, nj.com’s Matt Lombardo points out that the Giants do not currently have a tight ends coach, a position that Kitchens held with the Dallas Cowboys and then the Arizona Cardinals from 2006 through 2012.
Lombardo also wrote that the Giants are hoping to fill three quality control positions this week at the Senior Bowl, so Kitchens could be a candidate for one of those spots.
Kitchens and Judge previously worked together in 2005 at Mississippi State, where Kitchens was the running backs coach and Judge was a graduate assistant.
The Browns fired Kitchens on December 29 after the Browns went 6-10 in his one season as the team’s head coach.
