/ominous music plays

Thomas Dimitroff has gained a reputation for trading. In fact, his last trade was sending Mohamed Sanu out of town for an embarrassing extravagant second-round pick. Whenever Dimitroff has extra picks he gets...

the itch.

Dimitroff loves to move around in the first round. More specifically, the man trades up. He has traded up for Kaleb McGary, Takkarist McKinley, Desmond Trufant, Julio Jones, and Sam Baker. They’ve done studies, you know. 60% of the time, it works every time.

The Falcons general manager is on the thinnest ice ever, shockingly keeping his job for what must be a final shot at a home run offseason. Enter...

the itch.

Even when the Falcons do not trade up, they are typically rumored for a bold trade. Back in 2014, the Falcons were in on Dee Ford and Demarcus Lawrence. Even last year, rumors swirled the Falcons were interested in all of the top defensive tackles, including Christian Wilkins and Ed Oliver.

After finishing the season perhaps frustratingly strong, the team’s draft slot plummeted after starting 1-7 and finishing 7-9. The likes of Chase Young were and are a long shot, but the team can add a potential impact player along the defensive line or in the secondary. Checking pre-combine mock drafts, DT Derrick Brown, DT Javon Kinlaw, edge K’Lavon Chaisson, edge A.J. Epenesa, or even LB/S Isaiah Simmons.

Are any worth trading that second-round pick, or more? Dimitroff has the itch and the man does not trade down in the first round. He is certain to make at least a few calls to good buddy David Caldwell at 9th overall.
