Raiders veterans could report to camp in eight days
The Las Vegas Raiders rookies are now in Henderson, Nevada, for the start of training camp and new developments on Monday may prompt veterans to join them in eight days.
Several news outlets reported that the NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to a plan for daily coronavirus testing.
The NFL and NFLPA agreed to daily COVID-19 testing for the first 2 weeks of camp, after which they’ll look at positivity rates. If the rate drops below 5% for players and Tier 1/Tier 2 individuals, they’ll move to every other day. Important deal as talks continue on other issues.

If you're an NFL player, you're tested for COVID the day you arrive. If negative, you self-quarantine for two days, and you're testing again on Day 4. If negative, you can report to team headquarters on Day 5 for daily testing.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that this development is another sign that training camp may start on time, which would bode well for the regular season starting on schedule.

Veterans are supposed to report to training camp July 28. The NFL season starts Sept. 10 and the Raiders begin the season Sept. 13 at the Carolina Panthers.
It’s been a long, winding road and nothing is set, but it seems like we might actually see the Raiders getting to work as a full team soon, which would be a beautiful sight for all of us.
