Anthony Chickillo, a former Steeler who most recently was on the Saints’ practice squad, was signed on Friday.

The Broncos signed on Friday veteran linebacker Anthony Chickillo off the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound linebacker is a sixth-year player who was selected in the sixth-round out of the University of Miami (Fla.) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015.

Chickillo played in 65 career regular-season games, starting nine times, and four postseason contests during his first five seasons with the Steelers. His career totals include 67 tackles (40 solo), 7.5 sacks (59.5 yards), three passes defensed, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 30 special-teams tackles.

In 11 games with the Steelers in 2019, he totaled 11 tackles (5 solo), 0.5 sacks (2 yds.) and eight special-teams stops.

Chickillo spent training camp with New Orleans this year and was on the club’s practice squad for Week 1.

A four-year linebacker at Miami, the Tampa Bay native played in 50 games for the Hurricanes and started the final 47 contests of his collegiate career.
