NFL Kickoff 2020: Texans and Chiefs open the season on Thursday Night Football

It’s finally time for some football.

It has been a long six months for NFL fans, far longer than a usual offseason would normally seem. The coronavirus pandemic has put the rest of the sports world on hold at different times and it nixed all of football’s offseason practices along with its preseason games.

So far, however, the NFL has handled the pandemic well since opening up training camps about a month ago. As of Tuesday, the league had seen just one player with a confirmed positive test in the prior week, suggesting that teams and their staffs are being responsible in their return to work.

Now the next big test comes with real games, but those can begin thanks to the league’s positive response (and the negative tests). Today, we get NFL football for the first time in seven months as the defending Super Bowl champs face off in a rematch of their Divisional Playoff game from January.

Join us at APC as we follow along here with the first game of the year.
