We’ll list out the complete playing time breakdown, and spotlight a few individual and team statistics from the Chicago Bears in their come from behind win against the Arizona Cardinals.
All statistics and snap counts are taken directly from the NFL’s Game Statistic and Information System, as we’re the snipped pictures.
The Chicago Bears came back from a 14-0 deficit against the Arizona Cardinals to win 16-14, and they now sit on top of the NFC North with a 2-1 record.
Did the offense look polished? Nope.
Did the defense have some lapses? Yep.
Does that matter when looking at the standing for the NFC North? Hell no.
I’ll run through some numbers that caught my eye, but ESPN has a nice layout on their box scores and game recaps page if you want to see everything. Just click the links provided to check out the full statistical numbers from the game.
The Bears held the edge in total yards (316 to 221), offensive plays (69 to 48), first downs (21 to 13), third down percentage (36% to 30%), time of possession (36:21 to 23:39), and penalties (7 for 45 yards to 6 for 43).

Mitchell Trubisky had another uneven game completing 24 of 35, for 220 yards with an interception, a fumble, and a passer rating 73.5. He was sacked three times, and he scrambled twice for eight yards.
His top target in the passing game was wide out Taylor Gabriel with 10, and he caught 6 for 34 yards. Tight End Trey Burton led the Bears in receiving yards with 55, and he caught 4 of 5 targets.
Jordan Howard led the way on the ground with 24 rushes for 61 yards, and he also snagged both balls thrown his way for 20 yards. Tarik Cohen had 53 yards rushing on only 5 carries, 15 yards receiving on 3 catches, and 21 yards on 2 punt returns.
The Bears stuck with the run and their running backs averaged a shade under 4 yards per carry. The Cardinals’ defense had 5 tackles for loss and 5 quarterback hits to go along with those 3 sacks. Eric Kush was flagged twice and Bobby Massie was caught once.

Overall for the day, Mack had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, a tackle for loss, 3 QB hits, and a forced fumble. Chicago’s other two sacks were courtesy of Sherrick McManis and Akiem Hicks. McManis also had one of the Bears 3 interceptions (not a bad use of his 5 snaps on D), with Bryce Callahan and Eddie Jackson getting the other 2 picks.
The Bears’ defense added 6 tackles for loss, 9 QB hits, and 5 passes defended, while holding Arizona QBs to a 73.6 passer rating.
SPECIAL TEAMS

Cody Parkey made 3 of 4 field goals, and all 5 of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.
Patrick O’Donnell punted 3 times for a 52.7 average.
McManis and Sam Acho each had a special teams tackle.
