Darius could very well play on Sunday now.
Things are continuing to look up for Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay, who earlier looked like he would certainly miss Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots.
Slay a limited participant in practice according to Friday’s injury report, but he was made available to the media after practice, suggesting that he may be out of concussion protocol completely. Typically if a player is still suffering from symptoms, they would not allow a player to conduct interviews with bright lights pointed on them. However, according to the concussion protocol, you do have to be cleared for “full football activity.” It’s unclear if Slay has reached that process or will have time to by Sunday’s game.
Elsewhere, the usual suspects were limited and listed as questionable for this week: Ezekiel Ansah and T.J. Lang. However, there were two new names added to the list, both of which are questionable. Marvin Jones Jr. is dealing with an ankle injury and tight end Michael Roberts has a knee injury.
In good news, Taylor Decker’s Friday absence was not injury related and he was not given an injury designation for Sunday’s availability.
