A couple new players popped up on the Lions’ Friday injury report.
It doesn’t come as much surprise, but the Detroit Lions will be without Ezekiel Ansah for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ansah suffered a shoulder injury during Week 1’s game against the New York Jets. It seemed as if he was trending in the right direction to play this week, as he practiced in a limited fashion all last week and was listed just as questionable. However, Ansah didn’t practice at all in the lead up to this week’s game, suggesting he suffered some sort of setback.
In better news, Lions starting left guard Frank Ragnow practiced on Friday and was not given a gameday designation, despite suffering a knee injury this week. He is expected to play.
However, two new players appeared on the Lions’ injury report and both are questionable to play Sunday. Golden Tate (hip) and Jarrad Davis (knee) were limited in practice Friday with brand new injuries. Interestingly enough, this is the second consecutive week in which new players appeared on Friday’s injury report. Last week, Michael Roberts suffered a knee injury and did not end up playing against the Patriots. He is also out again this week.
For the Cowboys, as expected starting center Travis Frederick and linebacker Sean Lee will not play this week.
