It looks like Scott Linehan will remain the offensive play-caller in Dallas

There’s that.

The Dallas Cowboys have scored less points than all but one NFL team (Arizona Cardinals). This includes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers before their Monday night game.

We’ve seen the Cowboys struggle mightily on the offensive side of the ball on this young season, and if the team wants to have any success moving forward they’re going to need some help moving forward.

There are many ways to qualify help and some would do so as changing offensive play-callers. Jason Garrett took to the podium on Monday and didn’t indicate that there would be any change in this regard.

You’ll remember that Jason Garrett used to be the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys himself before ascending to the head coach headset in the middle of the 2010 season. Dallas experienced some success early on in his career in this regard, but Scott Linehan has been the man in charge since 2014 when it comes to offensive play-calling.

It’s been more than this season that Scott Linehan’s offense has struggled. The Cowboys have hardly looked like themselves dating back to the middle of last year.

The Cowboys host the Detroit Lions this Sunday at 1pm ET.
