Peters Achilles tests “negative”, calf MRI to come

Sounds like Peters, and the Rams, dodged a bullet in the 35-23 win over the Chargers.

The Los Angeles Rams looked mighty impressive in the 35-23 win today over the Los Angeles Chargers, though it came at a toll.

CB Marcus Peters, CB Aqib Talib and KR/PR JoJo Natson all suffered injuries, though the Peters injury looked the most serious as he had to be carted to the locker room.

Thankfully though coming from a report from Pro Football Talk, the tests on Peters’ Achilles came back negative:

This would have been the most severe of the potential injuries between the Achilles, calf or ankle. We’ll have to see how things test out especially into tomorrow when we’ll get more clarity from Head Coach Sean McVay on the injury and the MRI results at the media availability.

Things look rough right now though with the Minnesota Vikings coming to town in a short week for Thursday Night Football. I’d go ahead and just start from the assumption that Peters will be unavailable and work backwards from there.

With the game on Thursday, we’ll get injury reports tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday.
