There’s a reason why we #paidtheman.
Los Angeles Rams DL Aaron Donald has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 7 for his ridiculous performance against the San Francisco 49ers in the Rams’ 39-10 win.
It comes as no surprise. With eight tackles, four sacks, six tackled for loss and that ridiculous strip:

It’s the fourth time Donald has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after being named NFL Defensive Player of the Year for 2017 (though, oddly, he didn’t win the weekly award once last season).
Impressively, Donald is now the fifth Ram to pick up a weekly award:
- K Greg Zuerlein, Week 1
- DB/KR/PR Blake Countess, Week 3
- QB Jared Goff, Week 4
- RB Todd Gurley, Week 6
On top of the weekly awards, Goff was named the NFC Player of the Month for September.
So yes, the accolades continue roll in for the Rams and deservingly so.
I’d guess that we’d all be surprised if this is the last time a Ram picks up some hardware this season.
