This week at 1st Amendment Sports’ Basement Podcast Studios, we put a bow on what was a very, very good week. Was it almost a very bad week? Sure. But if you ignore the process of how they got from point A to point B, and take the “win is a win” route, then there’s plenty to be happy about.
There are plenty of things to be excited about: we’re seeing the coming of age of the best defensive line duo in a generation (sorry Dana Stubblefield and Dan Wilkinson), Adrian Peterson is putting the afterburners on his career resurgence, and the Washington coaching staff did their homework which was material in the outcome of the win.
Lots to look forward to in the weeks to come, Washington will be in first place regardless of outcome through at least week nine. However that is not an excuse to sit back and rest on our collective laurels, particularly with the Giants on deck, a team that for whatever reason seems to be troublesome whenever they square off against the Burgundy and Gold.
Be sure to tune in to the Hogs Haven and 1st Amendment Sports Facebook pages each week for After The Whistle, the premiere source for Redskins post-game reactions. Thanks for everyone who chimed in on the comments as well!
