Anger and frustration permeated the locker room after last week’s loss to the Texans and more news for your Wednesday morning.
Anger evident after Jaguars drop third straight
The unraveling of the Jacksonville Jaguars continued past the final whistle of Sunday’s 20-7 loss to the Houston Texans in a key AFC South divisional game at TIAA Bank Field. It continued into the locker room where the frustrations boiled over, resulting in some heated discussions and accusations being hurled among players.
Andrew Norwell continuing to struggle in pass protection
Newly signed offensive lineman Andrew Norwell continues to struggle allowing three total pressures versus the Texans, the most he has allowed in one game since Week 6 of last season against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Pro Football Focus. He has given up a total of 11 pressures this season after only allowing 15 all of last season.
The Jaguars are still married to Blake Bortles in 2019
Quarterback Blake Bortles might regain his starting job for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia in London. He also might not take another snap this season. But one thing is all but certain: The Jacksonville Jaguars are not cutting the third overall pick in 2014 after the season, according to ESPN’s Mike DiRocco.
