Dolphins-Texans game thread to kick off Week 8

We’re back for Week 8 football. The Houston Texans host the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in an AFC matchup that actually has some early playoff implications. The game kicks off at 5:20 p.m. PT on NFL Network, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the booth, and Erin Andrews and Kristina Pink on the sideline. You can also stream the game on Amazon Prime and listen to Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer as an alternate audio option.

Both teams are 4-3 heading into Week 8. The Texans lead the NFC South by a game, while the Dolphins are a game back of the New England Patriots in the AFC East. The Texans have won four straight including going into Jacksonville and thumping the Jaguars. Miami has lost three of four, but have split their last two with Brock Osweiler starting at quarterback.

The Texans are a 7.5-point favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. I think the Texans probably pull this one out, but I’m not sure you can bet against Brock Osweiler in the revenge game! This looks like an ugly matchup at first glance, but it could end up being a fun one.
