Jay Gruden speaks to the media
Jay Gruden gave some injury updates and previewed this week's game against the Dallass Cowboys in his Monday presser. He discussed similarities between the Panthers and Cowboys, stopping the Cowboys run game, and handling the defense's stunts the Redskins typically struggle against.

Injury updates:
Redskins RB Chris Thompson is considered day to day with his rib/knee issue. Not sure yet what his workload will be early in the week. G Shawn Lauvao (calf) also is day to day

Overall he’s doing some good things, but they need to speed him up in progressions. Sometimes he gets stuck on guys, like on the grounding at the end of the first half.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said they’re well aware of the up-down nature of the team since 2015. They’re 27-25-1 since the beginning of that season. “We have to handle success as well as we handle adversity,” he said.
