Ngakoue now 6th in Jaguars history with 24.0 sacks

The Jacksonville Jaguars managed three sacks on Dak Prescott in their 40-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but it helped propel Yannick Ngakoue higher into the franchise record books.

With two sacks on Sunday, Ngakoue is now sixth in Jaguars history with 24.0 sacks, moving just past Gary Walker, Bobby McCray, and Marcus Stroud this week.

To give you some sort of context of how good 24.0 sacks in 38 career games is — that’s a sack every 1.6 games. Tony Brackens, the franchise sack leader, finished with 55.0 sacks in 107 career games — one sack every 1.94 games. Only Calais Campbell (18.5 sacks in 22 games for a sack every 1.19 games) has a higher average.

Ngakoue needs just five more sacks to surpass Kevin Hardy and Gary Walker (28.5), and six more sacks to surpass John Henderson (29.0) to get into the top three in franchise history.

Joel Smeenge sits at second with 34.0 sacks and Brackens has 55.0 sacks.
