The Patriots’ second practice report of the week is out.
The New England Patriots were back on the practice fields today continuing their preparation for the upcoming meeting with the Chicago Bears. Once more, the Patriots had solid but not perfect attendance – all while 10 players remain limited in action. Let’s take a closer look at them in today’s injury report:
Did not participate
Patriots: OT Marcus Cannon (concussion)
Bears: LB Khalil Mack (ankle), WR Allen Robinson II (groin)
While there are no changes to the Patriots’ list of absentees – starting right tackle Marcus Cannon is still out due to a concussion and appears to be headed for inactivity on Sunday –, the Bears added another player to their list of no-shows: Allen Robinson II, the team’s second leading pass catcher, missed today’s practice after being limited yesterday. Star pass rusher Khalil Mack also remains out.
Limited participation
Patriots: DT Malcom Brown (knee), WR Julian Edelman (heel), WR Josh Gordon (hamstring), DE Geneo Grissom (ankle), TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle), TE Jacob Hollister (hamstring), RB Sony Michel (knee), CB Eric Rowe (groin), DE John Simon (shoulder), DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (ankle/knee)
Bears: DB Prince Amukamara (hamstring), OL Eric Kush (neck), DB Marcus Cooper Sr. (hamstring)
The Patriots’ list of limited players also remains unchanged when compared to yesterday as 10 players were not able to practice fully today. However, at least four of them should be expected to play on Sunday without any limitations: Rob Gronkowski, Josh Gordon, Sony Michel and Eric Rowe were listed as limited all of last week – and all four of them were ultimately able to suit up against the Kansas City Chiefs. Expect the same this week, with Rowe potentially seeing an increase in playing time.
Chicago, on the other hand, did have a change to its limited list: After missing the last three games due to a hamstring issue, backup defensive back and special teamer Marcus Cooper returned to the field today.
