The Rams have their replacement wideout.
With Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp out injured with an MCL sprain, the Rams have moved to fill in the back of the wide receiver depth chart by signing WR Nick Williams.
With Cooper Kupp expected to miss at least one game, the #Rams are signing WR Nick Williams, who was with the #Titans recently, source says. Sean McVay said yesterday the team was looking to bring in a WR he knows. He was referring to Williams, a former #Redskins undrafted FA.

A fifth-year pro, Williams originally came into the league as an undrafted free agent with the Washington UDFA-signers in 2013, the third season in which current Rams Head Coach Sean McVay was serving as Washington’s tight ends coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator the next year. So McVay certainly has some familiarity with Williams something he alluded to with the media yesterday:
There might be somebody that we have a history with, but we’re working through those things right now. So, I wouldn’t say ‘workout’, but there might be somebody that we would bring in.
...
there are some potential discussions as far as, bringing somebody in that would help give us some depth. But, we feel very confident in those four guys that I mentioned, but because of the way that we operate in a personnel grouping where we’re specifically, in a lot of instances, in some three-receiver sets. It would be more to provide depth than anything else.
Williams spent three years with the Atlanta Falcons before joining the Tennessee Titans this year. He was released by the Titans last week.
We’ll have to see if he’s active on Sunday when the Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.
