The Oakland Raiders are thinking about trading wide receiver Amari Cooper, according to a report, but the asking price is very high. NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Network Monday that the Raiders have had some discussions about trading Cooper, but the asking price of a first-round pick may make a deal impossible. It does not sound like any of the Raiders’ discussions have gotten far, nor does it appear they’re giving much thought to lowering the asking price, which may mean that Oakland wants to be blown away if it is to trade the wide receiver. The fact that the Raiders would even entertain offers for Cooper, a 24-year-old with two 1,000-yard receiving seasons to his name, surprised many. Coach Jon Gruden downplayed the rumors on Sunday, but his denial wasn’t exactly watertight, and it certainly sounds like the organization would at least listen.
