Take a look inside the Patriots’ postgame locker room
The New England Patriots played a close game against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, one decided on the final play. The 43-40 contest was an emotional one throughout and it was only natural to see the Patriots express the same emotion when entering the locker room after the game (via the Patriots’ Twitter):
"We talk about competing for 60 minutes. That's what it took."

Following the usual amount of handshakes and high-fives, Bill Belichick took the floor to congratulate his team to the win. “Congratulations,” the Patriots head coach told his team. “Talk about competing for 60 minutes, that’s what it took. You guys fought your ass off out there. That’s a good football team, give them credit for the way they played – we just played a little bit better. Talk about close games, we had one today.”
Belichick went on to tell his team that is needs to “keep it rolling” before ordering it back to work the very next day. Team captain Matthew Slater took the floor after the coach to break down the traditional postgame huddle: “Let’s keep getting better, let’s keep believing, fellas. How do we feel, though, about knocking off the Chiefs?” Awww yeah.
The Patriots also released a sights-and-sounds clip from the game on their website, including a conversation between Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady leading up to the game-winning field goal attempt.
