Here’s where things stand as the Rams start their first preparatory practice of the week.
The Los Angeles Rams just started their first practice of the week getting for their Week 5 travels up north to take on their NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks.
A couple of nuggets from today:
K Greg Zuerlein a no go
Head Coach Sean McVay confirmed that Zuerlein will be shelved yet another week and new addition K Cairo Santos will get hold kicking duties. Here’s hoping he can best the performances of former K Sam Ficken.
ILB Mark Barron close
McVay says ILB Mark Barron is going to practice today, and the anticipation is that he will play against the Seahawks on Sunday. #LARams

We’ll see how things look on the injury reports as the week goes on, but could make for an interesting decision. How will Defensive Coordinator rotate the linebackers this week and moving forward with Barron back and OLB Dominique Easley out for the year?
OLB Carlos Thompson waived; DE Marcus Martin released; EDGE Ja’Von Rolland-Jones and DB Linden Stephens added to practice squad
A couple moves at the back end of the roster to note too.
Thompson, who was placed on IR back in mid-May, was waived yesterday. The Rams also let Martin go from the practice squad which gave them two PS slots to fill.
The Rams used those to add Rolland-Jones, a UDFA rookie out of Arkansas St., and Stephens, a UDFA rookie out of Cincinnati. Obviously, these were premeditated by the moves there. We’ll have to see if either pop up at any time to make the 53-man roster.
