Bears and Lions fans expect a Chicago victory

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey. Each week, we send 32 polls to 100+ plugged in fans from each team. Bears fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

Of all the FanPulse results we’ve seen so far, this one surprised me the most.

When asked to predict the point spread of this Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions, the FanPulse voters from Pride of Detroit picked a three point Bears victory.

Our FanPulse members are going bigger in predicting an 11 point win for the NFC North leading Bears, while the latest spread from Vegas had the Bears favored by eight.

The Lions have, ahem, “owned” the Bears of late by winning 9 of their last 10 games, which has improved their overall record against the Bears to a sterling 74-97-5 all-time. Anyone that spends time on social media has no doubt come across some arrogant Lion fan crowing about their recent success against the Bears, so seeing a group of them predict a loss is astonishing to me.

Lions’ fans simply aren’t feeling their team this year as evidenced by their confidence results this week and our recent 5 Questions With article.

What do you guys think about the FanPulse results this week?
