The Miami Dolphins could be starting their third different left guard on Sunday when they face the Green Bay Packers. The team has ruled Ted Larsen, who is starting at left guard after the team lost free agent acquisition Josh Sitton to a season-ending injury early this year, as doubtful for the game against the Packers due to a neck injury. He was limited all week in practice.
Also on Miami’s injury report were quarterback Ryan Tannehill and defensive end Charles Harris, both of whom were ruled out of the game. The Dolphins have a bye next weekend, so there is hope that both players could be ready to return - though Tannehill’s shoulder injury could continue to be an issue as Dr. David Chao told Phinsider Radio. Harris returned to practice, albeit on a limited basis, this week as he works through a calf injury.
Miami also listed linebacker Kiko Alonso (ankle), tight end A.J. Derby (foot), wide receiver Jakeem Grant (achilles), tackle Ja’Wuan James (knee), and tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee/ankle) on the injury report, all as questionable.
On the Packers side of the injury report, cornerback Kevin King has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. The team listed tackle Bryan Bulaga (knee), wide receiver Randall Cobb (hamstring), and linebacker Blake Martinez (ankle) as questionable.
The good news for the Dolphins is both James and Tunsil appear to be ready to play despite missing time last week with their injuries. Miami’s offensive line continues to deal with injuries and changes this season, including Larsen possibly missing this upcoming game, so having both tackle still available will be a huge benefit for the club. Miami did promote Isaac Asiata off the practice squad on Friday, releasing Martrell Spaight to make roster space.
