The Falcons are oddly banged up going into Sunday.
Well, it looks like the Atlanta Falcons left Cleveland with more than a bruised ego.
Jason Butt of The Athletic shared this week’s injury update, and it’s got some surprising names on there.
Falcons injury report: Matt Bryant (right hamstring) and Derrick Shelby (groin) did not participate in practice today. De'Vondre Campbell (calf), Bruce Carter (knee), Deion Jones (foot), Damontae Kazee (shoulder), Mohamed Sanu (hip) were limited.

We knew Matt Bryant was continuing to heal and is on a wait-and-see basis for now, and Derrick Shelby has struggled with that groin injury for weeks. Deion Jones, ofcourse, was just activated off of IR, so he’s going to be limited for now.
Mohamed Sanu has had a hip injury for weeks, so it must still be somewhat sore.
The injuries to De’Vondre Campbell, Damontae Kazee and Bruce Carter are new. If they’re limited, it indicates they’d all likely play. But if they somehow can’t, that’s not ideal for this defense...at all. Even if these guys are limited (particularly Campbell), that’s tough with the Cowboys coming to town with Ezekiel Elliott.
We’re still waiting to know what happens with Debo this week, so keep checking in with us to see what the most recent update is there. Though, should any of these limited guys not be able to go Sunday, they join the long list of bummer injuries for the team to face this season. Let’s hope these guys get through just fine to the weekend.
