Final injury report: A.J. Green out; Dez Bryant suffers potentially serious injury

The Saints potentially lost their new receiver for good, while the Bengals officially won’t have A.J. Green and a number of other starters. But don’t worry, there’s some good news, too!

The Bengals’ final injury report is out, and we already know who Sunday’s seven inactives will be.

To no surprise, A.J. Green, Darqueze Dennard, Tyler Kroft, Vontaze Burfict, and Nick Vigil were ruled out after not practicing this week. However, a new addition was Josh Malone, who apparently suffered a hamstring injury in practice on Thursday and has already been ruled out. That’s unfortunate for him and the team as Malone would’ve been handed a larger role with Green’s injury

In addition, starting right guard Alex Redmond is listed as doubtful with his own hamstring injury. That means Trey Hopkins will likely be starting there this Sunday (remember, God forbid Christian Westerman from playing on the right side).

In addition, running back Giovani Bernard is listed as questionable with his knee injury. He’ll almost certainly be active since the Bengals already have seven inactives from the names mentioned above. The question will be if he’s actually healthy enough to log any snaps.

On the Saints’ side, they’ll almost certainly be without newly-signed receiver Dez Bryant, who reportedly suffered a major injury in Friday’s practice.

Bryant is officially listed as questionable, but it’s safe to say he’s not playing.

The only other Saints player with an injury designation is starting defensive end Marcus Davenport, who is out with a toe injury. Everyone else is healthy enough to avoid a designation for Sunday’s matchup, including the entire Saints offensive line, which was limited in practices this week.
