The Philadelphia Eagles have appeared to be stuck in a rut for a large portion of the season. While many are quick to suggest the team’s struggles stem from the dreaded Super Bowl hangover that can afflict championship teams, Eagles center Jason Kelce believes the source is much more pervasive but perhaps a more tangible thing to fix. Kelce spoke extensively with reporters on Wednesday about what’s plaguing the 4-5 Eagles. Coming off a disappointing divisional loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the veteran team leader suggested it’s a lack of accountability that’s causing problems. Kelce rattled off the names of several former Eagles players, including Brent Celek, Torrey Smith and LeGarrette Blount, who are no longer with the team for various reasons. While Kelce argues losing guys who held such critical leadership roles has had an impact, he believes the roster is comprised of players who can get the job done.
