Jay Gruden speaks to the media
Jay Gruden broke the news that most people knew was coming today, starting guards Shawn Lauvao(torn ACL) and Brandon Scherff(torn pec) will need surgery and are done for the year. Starting WR Paul Richardson Jr.(AC joint) will also get surgery and miss the rest of the year. These are big blows to an offense that has been dealing with multiple injured players missing time.

Jay commends him for his effort, but it’s beyond the breaking point. Floyd and Quick will play more.
Gruden’s not ready to designate Quinn for return yet, but he’s close.

Trey Quinn:
Gruden said they're not yet ready to activate Trey Quinn off IR. "We're not ready to say that yet. We're close to saying that, but we'd like to get him out there on Wednesday to see where he's at before we start his clock."

Replacements:
Gruden says Redskins will have to sign “2 maybe 3” offensive linemen to get through the season
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) November 5, 2018
“Well I think they might have to start. One is probably going to have to play.” -Gruden on the new linemen.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) November 5, 2018
He says he might sign as many as 4.
Jamison Crowder/Maurice Harris:

Train doesn't stop:
Jay Gruden said there wasn’t much that they could learn going through the injury issues on the OL to help now. It’s not an ideal situation but as Gruden said “the train doesn’t stop.” They have to find a way to keep going.

Trent Williams:
The #Redskins are going through physicals right now, but they could sign 2 or 3 OL today.
— Craig Hoffman (@CraigHoffman) November 5, 2018
Gruden isn’t sure how long Williams will be out. 2-3 games most likely.
“We’re hoping two games tops, but that’s optimistic.” —Jay Gruden discussing Trent Williams’ injury timeline. Williams has already missed one game after surgery on his thumb. #Redskins pic.twitter.com/0sHlfq2jPO

Arie Kouandjio:
Gruden says Arie Kouandjio will not be back this year
— JP Finlay (@JPFinlayNBCS) November 5, 2018
Offensive line:
Jay Gruden made it sound like he plans on keeping Ty Nsekhe outside at left tackle and Chase Roullier at center with Tony Bergstrom at right guard. That means that left guard is the one spot still up for grabs.
