In a must-win game, the Packers offense showed what it could be as they try to ramp up their efforts to secure a playoff spot.
In a must-win game for the Green Bay Packers, they were able to take care of Brock Osweiler and the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. They finally got the running game firing on all cylinders and it wasn’t just up to QB1 Aaron Rodgers to pull a rabbit out of his hat (or if you’re Jason Witten, out of his head).
The Packers have a quick turnaround this coming week when they go to Seattle to play the Seahawks and their loud crowd. Before we get there, let’s look at who brought their stock up in the stretch to the fantasy playoffs. Some of these guys are going to help you either make a late-season surge or maintain a strangle hold on that one-seed.
Stock Up
Davante Adams, WR
Davante Adams is tied for second in passing touchdowns, eighth in catches, and ninth in yards per game in the NFL. He’s been a consistent force for the Packers on offense and always the go-to, despite the large spotlight shown on him. He only trails Adam Thielen, Tyreek Hill and Michael Thomas in fantasy points in PPR leagues. His yardage totals have dipped over the past 2 weeks, but he’s supplemented that by finding the end zone three times.
Don’t worry about matchups with Adams. Keep him plugged in, and as the Packers battle for a playoff spot, don’t worry about him being seated late in the season like last year.
Aaron Jones, RB
Jones is the key to unlocking the full potential of this offense. As Rodgers isn’t the usual Bob Lee Swagger in terms of accuracy this season (for a myriad of reasons), Jones has provided them with passer-level yardage pickups. While Jones is averaging a fun 6.8 yards per carry this season, he’s been a home run hitter the past two years:

That early season stash is finally going to pay dividends, it seems. Hopefully, you didn’t give up on Jones earlier because that low-end flex play is officially an RB1 that can be paired with whomever you’ve been riding with at running back all season.
Seattle is fairly middle of the road in terms of run defense (now down to 20th in run defense DVOA) so feel comfortable with Jones getting you a good head start on an early Thursday matchup.
Stock Down
Jimmy Graham, TE
Graham has had a pretty solid season in PPR formats, but only has six catches over the past three games coming out of the bye week. He’s still a great option if he finds the end zone and the shortage of solid fantasy tight ends has been worrisome. Despite his stock being down, I still like the narrative of Graham going on the road against his former team in Seattle. At his charity cornhole tournament over the summer, Graham spoke of his growing frustration with the Seahawks organization and that even John Schneider would apologize for their under-utilization of the 6’7” behemoth.
The Packers didn’t need to pass as much this week thanks to the emergence of Aaron Jones and the Dolphins laying a dud. However, I think this game will be a little bit more closely contested, which means more opportunity for Graham.
