Your 6-3 Houston Texans are off this week. They lead the AFC South by a game and a half and at this point have to be considered the clear favorites to win their division. Despite Houston’s solid odds of reaching the postseason and the presence of legitimate stars like Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, and J.J. Watt on the roster, the masses who participated in this week’s survey are not endorsing the Texans as the AFC’s representative in the Super Bowl.

As much as I’d like to, I can’t find too much fault in the analysis. The Patriots should surely be considered a favorite for the Super Bowl. The Chiefs, even with Andy Reid’s well documented history of postseason hiccups, have looked very good. The Steelers may still be a work in progress, but I can totally understand the notion that they’re better positioned than the Texans to reach the big game. I suppose I might quibble a bit with the Chargers being greater favorites than the Texans, considering they’ll almost definitely have to win three road games to get there; still, it’s not crazy to like their odds better than Houston’s.
What say you? Are the Texans the least likely of the five teams listed to reach the Super Bowl?
