NFC juggernauts collide in the Crescent City.
There’s three total games on the afternoon schedule in Week 9, but none of them matter compared to the Los Angeles Rams (8-0) traveling to the Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Saints (6-1). It’s the 75th time that these two meet, as the Rams (both St. Louis and Los Angeles) lead the all-time series 41-33.
Sean McVay’s squad won last year’s meeting 26-20, and Sean Payton’s team won the home meeting in 2016 49-21. This season’s matchup, which is featured almost across all of America on FOX, promises to be an early clash of NFC supremacy. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will have the call.
It’s Drew Brees vs. Jared Goff. Wade Phillips matching wits against a potent Saints offense. Dennis Allen looking to emulate a similar gameplan from what the Packers were able to do last week. It could be an early preview of a matchup that you may see again in the playoffs.
