Reuben Foster was understandably viewed as a toxic asset by most NFL teams after he was waived by the San Francisco 49ers. In fact, two reporters say that 30 teams passed on Foster, while only one team claimed him: the Washington Redskins. Foster is now a member of the Redskins franchise after they were awarded the linebacker from a waiver claim. Foster has been arrested four times this year, which led to a two-game suspension from the NFL this season. Two of the arrests have been for domestic violence. He was not charged for the first arrest after the woman recanted her assault claims. The same woman was involved in the second incident that led the 49ers to cut ties with Foster. The former first-round pick has been placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. That means he is unable to practice or attend games, but he can attend meetings and other team activities.
