Ryan Kalil will play tonight against the Steelers

Ryan Kalil will play, Torrey Smith and Amini Silatolu will sit

The Panthers and Steelers have released the names of the players who will be inactive for tonight’s game.

Center Ryan Kalil, who suffered an ankle injury on Sunday, will play tonight. Their inactives are headlined by Torrey Smith (concussion) and Amini Silatolu, a healthy scratch. That Silatolu is inactive and healthy is a great statement for a team whose biggest concern entering the season was the injuries along their offensive line.

Meanwhile, the Steelers are missing their starting right tackle, Marcus Gilbert, for the third consecutive game. Matt Feiler has done a fine job starting in Gilbert’s place, but he faces an all new kind of test against Julius Peppers tonight.
