Cool way to close out Veteran’s Day celebrations: a compilation @ESPN producers made of some of the great national anthems performed at sporting events. Actually @Ha1ik, Kirk struggled with that same Gruden play call in his time with the #Redskins.

I'm not getting into a "Kirk vs Alex" thing here, but that redzone play is something Gruden called a few times early with Kirk, but stopped after this kept happening; pic.twitter.com/FGN2qwWQd8
The original tweet was about Alex's TD pass to Doctson this week, saying (paraphrasing) "Kirk can make that *bleeping* throw in his sleep", etc. https://t.co/Q15Gb6kN8l

I'm an expert on Redskins attendance woes because it's all I've talked about with fans for the last few years. But I've asked everyone who gave up tickets if the team was headed to a SB would they come? They always said yes, so the other things weren't the problem. It was losing.
— Rick Snider (@Snide_Remarks) November 13, 2018
Problem NFL players have is most come from big-time college schools where they were the biggest thing around. Used to unconditional love. Doesn't happen in pros and especially here. We all know reasons, but players don't. Nothing good comes from players complaining about fans.
— Rick Snider (@Snide_Remarks) November 13, 2018
Sunday will show if the Redskins can ever fill FedEx by themselves again. Houston has no local fans, but coming home games against Philly and New York will be filled with visiting fans. Biggest problem is Sunday before Thanksgiving and lots of locals heading out.

Washington currently sit third at +11 (Bears lead at +13), which is the main reason for their 6-3 record. Turnover ratio is so, so important. https://t.co/C7QubgwkQs

Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game now is being moved from Mexico City to Los Angeles due to poor field conditions in Estadio Azteca, per sources.

Back to LA for the Rams, who have been training for altitude in Colorado Springs.
The decision to move the Chiefs-Rams game to LA was based in consultation with the NFLPA and following a meeting and field inspection this afternoon by NFL and club field experts as well as local and independent outside experts.

Le'Veon Bell didn't join the Steelers on Tuesday and now is ineligible to play this season. What it means... https://t.co/8DTjH52JmC
— MarkMaske (@MarkMaske) November 13, 2018
Teams have massive amounts of cap space & will likely be willing to use healthy dose on him but likely not much in the way of guarantees past year one. Far too much risk.
— Evan Silva (@evansilva) November 14, 2018
Vast majority of FA deals amount to 1-year commitments anyway. Extremely rare is the 2-year FA commitment.
The Steelers are paying $578,000 to James Conner. This year, Conner is on pace to rush for 1371 yards and 18 TDs.
— Don Van Natta Jr. (@DVNJr) November 13, 2018
The Steelers won’t pay a penny of $14.54 million to Le’Veon Bell. Last year, Bell rushed for 1291 yards and 11 TDs.
The Steelers win.
Next time someone gets upset that a college player won't play in a bowl game for free, remember that Le'Veon Bell gave up $14.5 million dollars to stay injury-free before his big payday. It's a lot easier to give up zero dollars to stay injury-free.

The Tom Brady decline is confusing because we all thought it would be "fall off the cliff" when it came. But it's been very gradual. Brady is currently 12th in pass DVOA and 11th in ESPN QBR. He's still good, but he's not the Brady we're used to. https://t.co/IiZPSUkDO0
— Aaron Schatz (@FO_ASchatz) November 13, 2018
Statistically, same thing has happened to Aaron Rodgers that is happening to Brady, only more so. No really good games, no really bad games. Rodgers passing DVOA was 37.8% in Week 1. Every game since then falls between -10% and +15%. (Obviously, the reasons are different.) https://t.co/7eNCIIU9EO
