Talk about the Arizona Cardinals vs the Atlanta Falcons.
It is time for another Arizona Cardinals football game.
This one against maybe the most disappointing team in the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons.
The crazy thing is when you look at the Falcons on paper, they don’t look that bad, but their defense has completely folded under the weight of injuries and expectations in 2018.
That means the Cardinals have to do something they have not done all season, keep up with a team offensively.
It is unlikely we will see the Cardinals be able to shut down a Falcons offense that is four in passing yards on the season.
They only rank 14th in scoring though, although their average of 24.3 points per game is more than the Cardinals have scored in every game this season but one, their 28 points against the San Francisco 49ers, way back in week five.
That’s actually one of the more staggering notes you’ll see this season on a game. A middling scoring offense in the Falcons average offensive output is as good as the best the Cardinals have achieved in 2018.
Defensively is where the Falcons really struggle though.
Can the Cardinals take advantage and have one of their best offensive games of the season, or is their offense so inept it doesn’t matter?
