Arizona Cardinals end losing streak in Lambeau behind Chase Edmonds and Zane Gonzalez

The Cardinals went into Lambeau and won for the first time since 1949.

It was 1949 the last time the Arizona Cardinals won in Green Bay.

That’s over now, as Mason Crosby missed a 49 yard field goal with three seconds left and the Cardinals snuck out of Lambeau Field with a 20-17 win.

Josh Rosen and Chase Edmonds both had good games, with Edmonds scoring his first two touchdowns of his NFL career.

Rosen’s numbers were not great, but he did enough to help the Cardinals have a chance at the end.

Rosen finished just 11/26 for 149 yards, but he made a couple of throws that were huge difference makers.

Edmonds meanwhile had his best game as a pro, rushing five times for 53 yards and the two touchdowns, he also added two catches for 13 yards.

David Johnson had 20 carries for 69 yards and only one catch for three yards, but his ability to keep moving forward helped the Cardinals grind this one out.

Defensively, this was maybe the best performance of the year from the Cardinals, as the Packers only had 98 yards rushing, as well as a total of 325 yards.

It was quite the performance defensively.

The biggest winner of the day though was newly promoted Zane Gonzalez.

Gonzalez, kicking in miserable conditions, was 2-2 on extra points and 2-2 on field goals, including a 44 yard field goal to give the Cardinals the lead that ultimately ended up as the game winner.

It was the performance Steve Wilks envisioned for his team all year.

182 yards rushing, no turnovers, very good defensive effort and trust in your special teams to make the difference.

That’s a great win for the Cardinals.
