How could you not love this guy?
Matt Bryant is a fan favorite in Atlanta, and for good reason. His legend status will only be strengthened now that the team has released Bryant’s mic’d up audio from Sunday’s game.
It starts off with Bryant singing a rendition of Do They Know it’s Christmas. Is it off-key? Kinda, but it’s heartfelt, and that’s what matters.
When @debo got a pick-six, everybody was excited.

But #MoneyMatt ? He panicked.

Bryant then wanders around the sideline telling teammates and coaches alike to “pump it up.” He’s a master motivator.
But the best part of this video, hands down, is when Bryant realizes that Deion Jones’ pick-six means he has to kick a PAT.
“Are you kidding me? I don’t even have a shoe on,” Bryant yells in a panic.
But he’s Matt Freakin’ Bryant, OK? Shoe, no shoe, expected, unexpected ... none of that matters. Bryant throws on his helmet hustles over to the kicking net, fires off two practice shots, and then heads out to the field to do what he was born to do — kick ass (and PATs) and take names.
Bryant goes on to congratulate his defensive teammates for their dominant performance against rookie Josh Rosen.
“Like Oprah. Who wants a sack? You get a sack, you get a sack, you get a sack,” Bryant says.
Bryant also razzes Patrick Peterson a little bit. Peterson got a hand on one of Bryant’s field goal attempts, but it wasn’t quite enough to force a miss. Peterson mentions it to Bryant good-naturedly, and Bryant responds in kind, reminding Peterson that “it still counts as three, though.”
Kickers spend a whole lot of time on the sideline, and Bryant’s found ways to keep himself occupied. That included singing a little of Jermaine Dupri’s Welcome to Atlanta and inexplicably quoting Brad Pitt at the end of Se7en. Yes, that wrenching scene. “What’s in the box?”
He’ll be the last Falcons player to be mic’d up at home this season, and Bryant certainly wraps this year up on a high note.
