Yes, we’re serious.
The Falcons offense managed to have one of their worst performances in decades. Literally. They hadn’t managed that number of yards since 1999, that post-Super Bowl letdown of a year. Yet, here we are at the Falcoholic asking you - dear readers - to choose an offensive player of the game, because to be honest, we hate all of you as much as this team hates all of us. May our mutual suffering bring us closer together even as the fires of hatred consume our souls.
Matt Ryan
He started the game with some absolutely dreadful passes, but he settled down later in the game. He repeatedly took hit after hit and still found ways to deliver the ball. If only his receivers found ways to hang onto the damn ball. You can find plenty of blame to go around in this game, but Ryan was hardly at the top of the list.
Austin Hooper
Hooper has turned into a quality receiving option and his lone offensive touchdown demonstrated the trust Ryan has in his young tight end.
The game being over
That clock ticking down to 00:00 felt like a mercy. Hell is the game we watched where the clock never runs out.
